There was a threatening incident at the “Pirstingerkogellift” today when a 74-year-old man and a 13-year-old girl collided on the secured slope. The collision, the causes of which are currently unclear, occurred in the lower area of the slopes. The older winter athlete suffered serious injuries to his upper body, the police reported.
The mountain rescue service and the lift staff immediately rushed to help. The injured person received initial medical care on site before being transported to the valley. From there he was taken in an ambulance to the LKH Weiz to receive further treatment, according to reports orf.at.
