At 215 km/h on the expressway: 18-year-old with a test driving license stopped!

On January 16, 2025, a speeding driver caused a stir on Expressway 5 in Lower Austria. At around 5:50 p.m., two employees of the state transport department in a civilian vehicle fell on an 18-year-old driver from the Tulln district who was traveling at a breathtaking 215 km/h towards Tulln, while the maximum permitted speed is 130 km/h. This dangerous speed immediately caught the attention of the officers, who then gave chase.

When the speeding driver was finally stopped, it turned out that he only had a probationary license. His probationary driving license was immediately taken away and he was forbidden to continue driving.
