Grinzens, Österreich - In the Tyrolean ski area there were recently several dangerous avalanches that caused the winter athletes to excitement. At the Gamskogel in Grinzens, a 32-year-old German skier triggered a snowboard avalanche shortly before 12.00 p.m. Fortunately, he was able to trigger his airbag backpack in good time and stayed on the surface. The emergency medical helicopter "C1" was quickly on site, but both skiers remained unharmed and drove back into the valley independently, as ORF TIROL reported.
An hour earlier had a 38-year-old Italian, a 33-year-old Austrian and a 31-year-old German similar experiences at the Hohen Burgstall in the Stubai Valley. They also triggered two avalanches on a ski tour, but were unharmed. The group immediately informed the control center, which enabled the rapid reaction of the rescue workers.
