In Vienna-Wieden, an unscrupulous attempt to fraud was uncovered, in which two installers of an 83-year-old woman wanted to sell an intact gas boiler as a defect in order to exchange them for an expensive new one for 18,000 euros. The woman's grandson, an attentive 42-year-old, recognized the machinations when he found that only the gas tap was turned off and the thermal bath remained completely in order. Thanks to its vigilance, the police were informed in good time, which led to the arrest of the alleged perpetrators when they appeared to deliver the new thermal bath last Thursday. The police were already waiting in the apartment of the watchful senior citizen, such as Puls24 reported, however, the fraudsters were first displayed at the public prosecutor.
The vigilance of the family and fast reactions from the police in this case prevented worse things and show how important it is to pay attention to suspicious activities.
