On April 4, 2025, around 1:20 p.m. on the Inntal Autobahn (A12) in the municipality of Weer, Schwaz district, a serious traffic accident occurred. A total of five vehicles were involved in the incident, including a truck and four cars. The trigger of the accident was lost on the road, presumably insulation boards, which forced the vehicle drivers to dodge or brake, which ultimately led to several collisions. Two 30-year-old Austrians suffered injuries of an indefinite degree and were taken to the Schwaz hospital. All vehicles involved suffered considerable damage, so that the scene of the accident could only be passable.
