Brutal robbery in Vienna: 19-year-old injured with stitch!
On the evening of May 20, 2025, around 9:30 p.m., a 19-year-old man in Vienna favorites was victim to a brutal robbery. The incident occurred at Antonsplatz when a group of about ten young men spoke to the victim and asked for the publication of the wallet and cell phone. Despite the massive threat, the young man refused to surrender his valuables, which led to a violent attack. He felt a stinging pain on his hip and sagged briefly. It was later found that it was a stab wound. The robbers then captured the wallet and mobile phone's mobile phone before they fled.
One hour after the attack, passers -by alarmed the emergency services who arrived quickly. The 19-year-old was cared for by the Vienna career rescue and taken to the hospital, where further measures were taken to treat his injuries. So far, an immediate search for the perpetrators has been unsuccessful. Another alarming incident took place on February 8, 2025 in Vienna-Mariahilf when a 19-year-old woman was brutally attacked at 4:15 a.m. The attacker, an unknown man between the ages of 20 and 25 years, also started a knife in addition to beatings to hurt the woman and rob her handbag. The perpetrators could be recorded by surveillance cameras and carried out several payments with the stolen ATM card. The police continue to investigate and look for references to both cases.
These incidents reflect a worrying trend that not only affects the city of Vienna, but also indicates an increase in violence and youth crime nationwide. With the establishment of the interdisciplinary working group "Child and Youth Crime", prevention work is intended to prevent such brutal attacks in the future.
