The suspect punched the victim in the face, causing facial injuries. The 40-year-old was then taken to a hospital. After the attack, the suspected perpetrator fled and insulted other passers-by. According to initial investigations, no weapon was found on him, but it is being investigated whether he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The suspect is already known to the police for physical injuries and is being examined to determine whether he was in an exceptional psychological state. Another incident occurred on Tuesday in Fürstenwalde, in which a 41-year-old man was seriously injured. The German citizen, who was born in Lebanon, suffered multiple stab wounds after he was involved in an argument with a 26-year-old Syrian man. The attack took place around 1:30 p.m. and the attacker fled afterwards. After an hour-long manhunt, the suspect was arrested at his apartment early in the evening. A privacy fence was erected at the crime scene, an intersection on Trianonstrasse, and forensic scientists secured evidence. The murder weapon has not yet been found and further information about the attacker's motive is currently unknown.
