An unusual incident occurred on Monday evening in Grein, Upper Austria, which alerted the police. A patrol noticed a damaged street lamp and an abandoned license plate at the B3 intersection with the L573 around 10:45 p.m. A little later, at the license plate's residence, the officers found a badly damaged vehicle and its driver, a 62-year-old man from the Perg district, who was drunk and lying on the ground next to his car Volksblatt reported.
Despite his assurances that he had not damaged anything, the condition of his car was clearly the result of an accident. The man could not explain how his license plate got to the scene of the accident. After police attempted to administer an alcohol test, the 62-year-old initially collapsed and ultimately refused the test after failing three attempts. Because of his inability to stand, he was left in the care of his wife crown executed.
