A dramatic incident caused a stir in Villach! On Friday morning, at 11:19 a.m., a masked man broke into a bank branch in Villach-Völkendorf. The perpetrator, wearing white gloves, threatened to use a dummy bomb and, using very good German, demanded cash. He left a note with his demands on a service desk, which made the situation extremely tense MyDistrict.at reported.
When time seemed to be slipping away for the perpetrator and the situation overwhelmed him, he fled the bank without any loot. Fortunately, both customers and employees remained unharmed. A police search was immediately launched. However, this was unsuccessful and the man was able to escape in an unknown direction. The perpetrator is a man of normal stature, around 158 to 165 cm tall and between 22 and 30 years old. He was wearing a dark blue hooded jacket, a gray hooded sweater and a black wool hood, which made him very conspicuously dressed.
