Westerwaldkreis.A bang for the CDU! Harald Orthey, the dynamic CDU managing director from Hattert, was overwhelmingly elected as the constituency candidate for the federal election in constituency 203 Montabaur. In a gripping constituency representative meeting in the Nentershausen community center there was no stopping: Orthey received 39 votes, while his competitor Dr. Björn Schäfer only collected 27 votes. The Christian Democrats are relying on a breath of fresh air and clear goals to represent the CDU in the Bundestag again!
At the beginning of the meeting, CDU district chairwoman Jenny Groß MdL emphasized the immense importance of this election: “We have to win back the Bundestag mandate!” The painful loss of a directly elected CDU MP since the last election in September 2021 was a clear wake-up call for members. It's time to actively shape the political stage in Berlin instead of just watching! The challenges are great, from promoting small and medium-sized businesses to improving infrastructure - all of this requires a strong voice from the region!
Harald Orthey: A man of the people
In his passionate introductory speech, Orthey made it clear that citizens' trust in the state is dwindling. “We have to fight to strengthen trust in democracy again!” he shouted with conviction. Orthey wants to act as a bridge builder and problem solver who knows people's concerns and takes them seriously. His message is clear: Politics must be there for the citizens again! He wants to introduce people to politics with honesty and reliability and represent their voices in Berlin.
The CDU has a clear plan: the election campaign should begin with Orthey at the helm in order to get back the Bundestag mandate. “We have the arguments and the passion!” was the unanimous opinion of the party leaders. The members are called upon to fight together for the 40 percent mark and to show that the CDU is a reliable partner for the people in the Rhine-Lahn and Westerwald. Now every vote counts!
