Government of the middle: Future plan for kindergartens and cooperation!

In a remarkable government declaration on Thursday in the Federal Council, Chancellor Christian Stocker (ÖVP) pleaded for a “new cooperation”. This step aims to also address the voters of the opposition parties, and thus underlines the endeavor of his coalition to present the first triple coalition of ÖVP, SPÖ and NEOS as a strengthening of Austrian democracy. Stocker explained that different perspectives were not a weakness, but a strength, which makes the liberal and pluralistic democracy, as well as Puls24 .

A central concern of the government is to ensure the financing of the second mandatory kindergarten year. Stocker assured that this financing was "secured" and that the start for the four -year -old children could be realized in 2027 at the earliest. Education Minister Christoph Return (NEOS) plans to include the project in the next federal-state agreement. Vice Chancellor Andreas Babler (SPÖ) supported the government program and saw it as a "printed Austrian virtue" - a great compromise between constructive forces. He also promised that the government would appreciate the parliament, while State Secretary Josef Schellhorn (Neos) emphasizes the importance of honesty and optimism for the coming years.
