Arrest warrant against Yoon Suk-Yeol: South Korea in political collapse!

In a dramatic political turn, a court in Seoul issued an arrest warrant against the suspended president of South Korea, Yoon Suk-Yeol. This was done as part of an investigation that deals with the short -term proclamation of war law by Yoon at the beginning of December when he wanted to take advantage of a thoroughly interrogation instrument in a discussion of the opposition. According to reports from OE24 , Yoon was invited three times, but did not appear and thus opposed the clarification of the facts. The court fears that it could escape the judiciary and, in addition to the arrest warrant, also issued a search order for his residence.

Yoon's lawyer described the arrest warrant as "illegal" and refused to tolerate illegal studies. He argued that the decision on the legality of the war law suspension was the responsibility of the constitutional court. This turbulent situation is accompanied by massive protests against the Yoons government, which has been seen as the most severe political crisis in South Korea for decades. According to Deutschlandfunk further focused on both Yoon and his successor to interim Han Duck-Eoo leaves unstable government.

In addition, the Yoon public prosecutor sees serious allegations, including the accusation that he wanted to use the military aggressively in the event of a parliamentary storm plans.
