Semperit increases EBITDA and focuses on digital transformation!
Semperit Holding AG presented its business results for 2024 on March 24, 2025 in Vienna. The figures show positive development in several areas, despite a challenging market environment. Leadersnet reports, that EBITDA increased by 21.1% to 84.9 million euros and the company has now achieved a profit after tax of 11.5 million euros after a previous loss of 17.1 million euros. Sales remained stable at 676.6 million euros, which corresponds to a decrease of only 0.8%.
A key highlight of the report is the increased margin, which grew by 2.3 percentage points to 12.5%. This development was supported by a comprehensive austerity program. Semperit has also decided to withdraw from the glove business and focus more on elastomer products for industrial customers. The integration of the Rico company has been successful and has already contributed to increasing profitability.
Financial stability and future plans
The financial key figures show an impressive improvement: Free cash flow increased by 74.4% to 45.8 million euros compared to the previous year. After company sales, free cash flow even amounted to 52.4 million euros, although it was 111.5 million euros in the previous year. The equity ratio rose to 47.2% compared to 45.3% in the previous year, while the debt ratio was reduced to 1.2x, after 1.6x last year. In addition, Semperit has liquidity reserves of 126 million euros and 100 million euros of undrawn credit lines.
An operating EBITDA of 86.3 million euros was achieved, adjusted by 1.5 million euros for the “oneERP” project. The operating EBITDA margin for 2024 is 12.8%. The company plans to propose a stable dividend of 50 cents per share. With a view to the coming year, Semperit expects an operating EBITDA in a range of 70 to 90 million euros, with further information available from Semperite be provided.
Overview of future goals
Semperit's medium-term goals stipulate that operating EBITDA should increase to around 120 million euros by 2026, depending on an economic recovery. The “oneERP” project is expected to have an impact on earnings of around five million euros as early as 2025. Manfred Stanek will lead the company as the new CEO from April 1, 2025 and will play a central role in the implementation of these measures.
The company therefore faces significant challenges and opportunities that will influence not only its financial position but also its strategic direction. For detailed information on bond terms and other financial reports, interested parties can contact the Investor relations from Semperit.
