Fewer places for large Ukrainian families: a call to help!
The situation for Ukrainian displaced people in Austria is becoming increasingly complicated because the willingness of the federal states to accept newcomers is declining. Around 1,000 to 1,200 people come from Ukraine to Austria per month, but the displeasure of the arrival of large families grows. This particularly affects families who often do not speak Ukrainian or Russian, which makes their integration more difficult. Two families with a total of 26 members have recently arrived in Vienna, which triggered further concerns, such as the Kleine Zeitung
Aktuells around 33,400 Ukrainian citizens live in basic care, with around a third of these people being housed in Vienna. Together with Lower Austria, the region has around 20,000 Ukrainian displaced persons. Many of them want to remain in the capital, which reinforces the prevailing tensions.
family allowance and child benefit for displaced people
In order to meet the increase in newcomers and avoid abuse, the government plans to re -regulate family allowance and child benefit for Ukrainian displaced persons. According to ÖIF reported.
The development of asylum applications also shows a 35 percent decline compared to the previous year, while remarkable that 51 percent of the applications come from children. At the same time, only 33 percent of the applications from newly traveled asylum seekers are: inside, which further complicates the situation.
