Young poolbillard talent from Feldkirch dominates national title fights
The 16-year-old poolbillard player Markus Schleindler from BSV Break Feldkirch broke all records in the national title fights. In an impressive competition in Mödling, Schleindler sensationally secured the gold medal in all three disciplines of the under-19-year-olds. He crowned his outstanding performance with a clear victory in the 14/1endless game against Alexander Ströher from Carinthia. In addition, he won against Seymen in the 9 -person ball against his teammate Atila Seymen and in the 8 -person ball.
Markus Schleindler, who is also a metal construction and welding technician apprentice, has completed an extremely successful year. In addition to the three gold medals in the national title fights, he was also able to convince in other competitions. At the European Junior European Championship, he took a strong 5th place in the 10th ball. He also won at three Grand Prix in Austria and contributed significantly to the runner -up title of his team in the Landesliga.
Schleindler's long -term goal is to participate in a junior World Cup. For this he needs a medal at the European level, which he narrowly missed. His team -mate Atila Seymen reached twice silver and once bronze in the national title fights. Marion Dressel from Pool Stars Altach surprised with a gold and three times bronze success. Selina Scherrer and Luca Egender from Feldkirch also showed strong performances in their categories.
