In an exciting home game in Feldkirch, the Pioneers Vorarlberg had to give up the Black Wings Linz 0-2. Despite strong performance and commitment, the Pioneers could not turn the paper. It was a highly competitive match that didn't disappoint any of the spectators.
Alex Caffi, the goalkeeper of the Pioneers, got his chance to prove himself in the front row. At the beginning of the game, the Pioneer showed dominant game, but the Linz surprised them with an early goal. In the 10th minute it was Ograjensek who scored the first goal for the guests and thus dampened the mood of the Pioneers. The development of the game
In the second third, the Black Wings took control and were more dangerous. Caffi in the goal, however, held several crucial shots on his goal, which the game continued to hold exciting. The Pioneers fought, but could not score any points in the power play, so that after the second third they would continue to be 0: 1.
In the last section, the Pioneers increased the pressure and vehemently searched for the points to steer the game back in a positive direction. However, this risk caused the Linz to be able to drive dangerous counterattacks. Ultimately, an Empty-Net goal from St. AMANT brought the final 2-0 for the guests in the final minute and sealed the defeat of the Pioneers. Despite the disappointment, there is hope that the team can position itself better in the coming games.
