Free access to the Christmas magic: Feldkirch invites you

In Feldkirch, the pre -Christmas season is particularly solemn this year. The city has decided to introduce a free offer for public transport to facilitate access to the Christmas market. On four Saturdays in Advent, specifically on November 30th, 7th, 14th and 21st of December, visitors from all over Vorarlberg can travel free of charge by bus and train to Feldkirch. This step should not only make the Christmas market more accessible, but also support the regional economy.

Mayor Manfred Rädler emphasizes the importance of this initiative: "With the free journey, we would like to give even more people the opportunity to use our Christmas offer and experience the special flair of our city." These measures are intended to help the city become a popular destination in the run -up to Christmas.

Free arrival and event ticket

To enable the journey, all public transport in Vorarlberg are available. The trains from the border streams in Lindau, St. Margrethen, Buchs and Schaan are also integrated into the concept. For the free trip, the passengers need an “online event ticket” that can simply be called up via the website vmobil.at/verlierstickets. This ticket can be shown both printed out and shown on the smartphone.

The initiative is a collaboration between the city of Feldkirch, the city marketing and the advertising community of the shopping city of Feldkirch. The aim is to increase the attractiveness of Feldkirch during the Advent season and at the same time to promote public transport.

In addition to the Christmas market, a handicraft market will take place on December 7th, 14th and 21st in Schmied- and Schlossengasse. Here visitors can find handmade products and support local artists. The Christmas market itself opens its gates from November 29 to December 24 and offers various culinary and manual offers every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The opening times of the catering trade are extended on weekends.

The city of Feldkirch sets a sign with this measure that it sees public transport as an important part of urban life.
