Dissatisfaction among security forces: wage proposal is rejected!

On November 1, 2025, the vida union launched a survey on the collective agreement in the private security industry after a first round of negotiations with employers took place. Around 1,500 employees took part in the survey in just 48 hours. The results show clear dissatisfaction among guards who are demanding higher wages.

The employers' wage proposal provides for an increase in collective agreement wages by 1.7 percent and a one-off payment of 250 euros. However, this offer is met with clear rejection as the vida union considers it insufficient to cover the inflation rate. A majority of employees surveyed express concerns about real wage cuts and the associated financial difficulties.

Disputes and demands

In addition to dissatisfaction over wages, there are other points of contention. Employers are planning to extend the calculation period from the current one to six months. This raises concerns about longer wait times for payments and confusing billing. The union not only demands wage increases above the inflation rate, but also rejects the proposed six-month calculation period.

The survey will run until Monday, November 3, 2025, and the union hopes to take employees' views into account to secure better terms in future negotiations.

In the context of data processing, it is interesting to see that the organization and management of data, similar to the union survey, is characterized by clearly defined structures. A query, a term from database management, makes it possible to extract specific information, similar to how the survey obtains relevant data about employees' opinions. SQL-like queries can be used to select, insert, update or delete data, which involves a very different but important management.

Digital applications such as Adobe Acrobat are also in focus. Users often face the challenge of not being able to open PDF files in separate windows even if they want to in their program or system settings. This results in a blended user experience that should be optimally designed to ensure effectiveness.
