Tragedy in Klagenfurt: 35-year-old died in the telescopic loader accident
In the night of Friday, July 11, 2025, a tragic accident occurred in the Klagenfurt-Land district, in which a 35-year-old man died. The accident took place on a municipal road at around 2 a.m. when the man steered a telescopic loader. According to the information from Click Carinthia he came to the bank with the right wheels of the vehicle, which followed under the weight of the telescopic loader.
The telescopic loader then tipped around five meters over an embankment into an adjacent cornacker and remained on the side. The accident was trapped in the driver's cab, specifically in the area of the B-pillar. His 59-year-old mother went in search of him and ultimately discovered him. Now she had to alert the rescue workers immediately. Despite the rapid intervention of the rescue workers, the emergency doctor could only determine the death of the man. A total of three fire departments with 50 emergency services were on site, including the Kappel fire brigade on the Drau, which was alerted at 3:30 a.m. Operations manager Richard Koschat reported that many fire brigade members personally knew the accident, which made the use particularly emotionally stressful, such as the Kleine Zeitung reported.
