A 77-year-old man from Germany, who was part of a nine-person hiking group, fell about 100 meters around 2:10 p.m. and suffered fatal injuries. The accident happened in the saddle area when the man tripped and fell down a rocky, grassy slope. Despite the immediate rescue measures by the “Libelle” police helicopter, the rescue workers were only able to determine the hiker’s death, which occurred immediately after the fall.
