Anniversary celebration in Ambras Castle: A spectacle for the whole family!

On August 16, 2025, Ambras Castle Innsbruck was the venue for one of the largest cultural festivals in Tyrol. The anniversary festival, which took place 30 years after the first castle festival, attracted thousands of visitors from near and far. The event was organized by Schloss Ambras Innsbruck in cooperation with the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music.

In bright summer weather, the big parade began at 2:00 p.m. Innsbruck's mayor Johannes Anzengruber opened the celebrations, which offered numerous attractions. The highlights included short tours of the Ambras Armory and the Chamber of Art and Curiosities.

Arts and entertainment

A special attraction as part of the festival was the special exhibition “The Art of Beauty”, which can be seen from June 18th to October 5th, 2025. There were also concerts by the Rosarum Flores ensemble and the Tra Noi ensemble in the St. Nicholas Chapel and in the magnificent Spanish Hall.

A novelty for the anniversary was the fire-breathing dragon Faffmir, who thrilled children and adults alike with his fights. Visitors could also take part in knight fights, flag-waving performances, acrobatic shows and dance performances. For the youngest guests there were historical children's games, a painting station and face painting.

Family celebration with historical flair

The castle festival offered a historical atmosphere with culture and entertainment for the whole family. Visitors were able to enjoy the ambience and immerse themselves in the history of the castle. The main sponsors of the festival were the Innsbruck municipal companies, the Austrian Federal Gardens and the Federal Ministry WKKMS as well as numerous local institutions and private donors.

In other areas of the news, current topics such as the price development of Cardano (ADA) were discussed. The current price is $0.9594 with an increase of 3% in the last 24 hours. Long-term forecasts show the price could rise to potentially $1.89 by 2030, while estimates for 2025 vary between $0.735 and $1,376.

Cardano, founded in 2017 by Ethereum co-founder Charles Hoskinson, takes a peer-reviewed approach and focuses on scalability and sustainability. Still, the project faces challenges including slow development and low adoption in the DeFi and NFT space.

For those interested in technology, there is, among other things, a new solution for easily configuring and installing streaming services. This alternative to the Multi-RTMP Target plugin has advantages in terms of usability, but there are limitations when starting or stopping streaming services at the same time.

The castle festival at Ambras Castle Innsbruck was not only a highlight of the cultural events, but also offered an interesting setting to discuss current technological and economic topics.
