Successful alpine fair in Innsbruck: Bergsport inspires visitors

The alpine fair again provided enthusiasm in Innsbruck and attracted numerous visitors. This event, which was organized in cooperation with the Congress Messe Innsbruck (CMI) and the Austrian Board of Trustees for Alpine Security (ÖKAS), united leading brands, experts and passionate athletes in the mountain sports scene. The alpine fair not only offered specialist conferences, but also the opportunity to get to know products from different exhibitors and to participate in exciting framework programs.

With a record participation of around 200 exhibitors and around 12,400 visitors, the fair can be seen as a great success. Christian Mayerhofer, Managing Director of the CMI, expressed his joy about how positive the alpine fair in Tyrol and beyond is accepted. Bergsport is still very popular. The exchange about technical innovations as well as important topics such as risk avoidance and environmental protection were particularly emphasized. A survey showed that about 90 percent of the visitors rate the event as extremely positive, with many already planning their return for the next year.

Diverse offer for all ages

The alpine fair offered a wide range of topics that ranged from ski tours to trail running to rescue systems. The visitors, who are usually between 20 and 40 years old, came from abroad to find out more about the latest trends in mountain sports. Christoph Heuschneider, the project manager of the alpine fair, noticed the special atmosphere that is created by active mountain athletes who can exchange ideas intensively with the manufacturers. This exchange makes the fair particularly valuable for many participants.

A highlight of the event was also the conference of the eca, which devoted itself to the guiding theme "Change & Adjustment". Renowned speakers, including international mountain guides as well as experts in meteorology and avalanche research, informed the participants about highly topical topics such as climate change and the planning of mountain tours. Okas President Peter Paal was positive about the great response to this conference. With important information and numbers, awareness of the challenges in mountain sports could be sharpened. It was encouraging that over 90 percent of those present rated the content of the lectures as very high quality - a third had come especially for the conference.

Exciting supporting program

The fair also convinced with a varied supporting program. Over 50 workshops were fully booked, and attractive events such as the Blocalpin Bouldering Cup provided high tension and thrill. The lectures by prominent personalities, including the well -known ski racer Benni Raich, found great response and were filled to the last seat. Heuschneider explained: "The offer to actively try new things and gain deeper insights into different topics was well received."
