At an event in Luberegg, Managing Director Markus Wildeis announced a large model offensive and ambitious objectives for 2025. In particular, he emphasized that the group brands - including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Opel, Jeep, Peugeot and Leap motor - achieved a market share of 12.4 % in April 2025. This is an increase of 2.7 percentage points compared to the previous year.

A particularly positive sign: The new registrations for cars and light commercial vehicles rose by an impressive 45 % compared to the previous year. In May 2025, 2,659 new cars were approved, which corresponds to an increase of 53 %. The market share in the car segment rose to 10.9 %, an increase of 2.2 points compared to the same period last year. Wildeis set itself the goal of reaching a market share of 20 % in the long term.

electromobility in the upswing

A crucial element of the strategy is the focus on electromobility. The electric component in new car registrations in Austria is 19 %in 2025. In 2023, Stellantis already recorded an increase of 110 % in electric vehicles. In the first quarter of 2025, a total of 1,606 electric vehicles were sold, which corresponds to 19.5 % of new car registrations. This shows that the company is well positioned to serve the growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions.

The approvals in the commercial vehicle segment are also impressive. Stellantis leads the market with a share of 30.2 %. The approvals of light commercial vehicles rose by 30 %, whereby an increase of 26 % was recorded without conversions. Wildeis also expects a catch -up effect in the third quarter, which is due to the upcoming abolition of the Nova (standard consumption levy).

The model offensive

for 2025, Stellantis plans the introduction of a total of 28 new models. Judith Porstner from Opel highlights the strong brand binding and the new model portfolio, which includes Grandland, Mokka, Frontera and Rocks-E. Fiat also relies on new models: The return of the Cinquecento as a mild hybrid is just as much in the room as the introduction of the Grande Panda and Topolino in Austria.

In April 2023, 3,272 vehicles have already been re -registered, which means an increase of 45 % compared to the same month last year. Stellantis has focused on multi-energy platforms in order to efficiently cover different drive types.
