The 40-year-old, who took over on November 15 as an interim coach, was able to achieve significant success in the previous season. So he not only defended the lead in the Bundesliga with remarkable commitment, but also led the team to the first victory in the UEFA Champions League against FC Girona. Saumel, who played 189 games for storm in his active career, returned to the second team last winter as head coach. Before he returned to SK Sturm, he worked in various coaching positions, including at WAC II and as an assistant coach near Hartberg and the Austrian national soccer team. In view of the challenges that the league and the Champions League have, the leadership of the club is convinced that they have taken the right way with Jürgen as head coach.
