New Billa in Kindberg: fresh diversity and regional strength
On September 26, a new Billa was opened in Kindberg, after about three and a half months of construction. This new location is the 168th Billa supermarket in Styria and the 17th in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district. On a spacious sales area of around 1000 square meters, customers can expect a wide selection of fresh, seasonal and regional products. In addition, three self -service cash registers are available, two of them for card payment and one that also accepts cash.
"Billa has been providing fresh food for people in Austria for over 70 years and is an important local supplier," said Peter Gschiel, Billa's sales director. It emphasizes that the new market in Kindberg offers customers tailor -made offers, attractive prices and promotions. On Fridays and Saturdays, buyers benefit from discounts of up to 25 percent to selected items. In addition, the loyalty program JÖ Rabattskmler is offered, which helps the customer save.
freshness and regionality in focus
In the new Billa market, the focus is particularly on the fresh area. Here customers will find a diverse range of seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as fresh meat and fish. The market confectionery attaches great importance to high -quality ingredients and traditionally produced products. "Our customers are happy to use regional food," explains Theresia Breitegger, the market manager in Kindberg, and adds that regional suppliers such as the "Honeybar" beer from Krieglach and the Bio Hof Fink from Grafendorf are supported.
Billa cooperates with 2,500 local producers across Austria and offers a range that includes over 25,000 regional articles. Since 2020, Billa has been the first food dealer to only sell fresh meat from domestic production, which offers customers security in relation to the quality of food. In addition, products are marked with the animal welfare seal "Fair to the animal" to guarantee higher animal welfare standards.
sustainability and social responsibility
The new location in Kindberg also emphasizes the importance of sustainability and social responsibility. In this way, not sold but still edible foods are donated to the Red Cross to help people in need. In addition, great importance is placed on energy efficiency as part of the operation: the entire building is supplied with 100 percent green electricity from Austria. State-of-the-art LED lighting and an energy-efficient refrigeration system ensure that the market is not only environmentally friendly, but can also be saved up to 40 percent energy.
The use of CO2 as an environmentally friendly refrigerant in cooling as well as the installation of a green roof and a photovoltaic system is particularly innovative. These measures underline the commitment of Billa for the environment and the now mentioned organizational and sustainable goals.
The reopening of the Billa in Kindberg is not only a new shopping point, but also a step towards environmentally conscious and socially responsible trading practices. Customers can look forward to a colorful selection of products and a dedicated service, as medianet.at reports .
