Selenskyj: Ukraine starts massive arms production against Russia!

Ukraine - The Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj has presented ambitious plans for the expansion of the national armaments industry to arm Ukraine against the ongoing Russian attacks. He emphasizes that Russia has to be held accountable for aggressive acts. Important products that are focused on are attack drones, interceptors, cruise missiles and ballistic rockets. The need for powerful weapons is high, since Ukraine is inferior to rangwide-wide weapons, as [OE24] (https://www.oe24.at/welt/selenskyj-muessen-kraftjets-und-raketen-selbst-kunstellen.

Currently, hundreds of Ukrainian companies are available in the armaments sector that specialize in various military productions. The Ukrainian government is preparing investment contracts with European partners to shift military production into the country and thus reduce the dependence on foreign armaments imports.

new weapons and technologies

One of the newly developed weapon systems is Bohdana, a shade, the production of which is decentrally organized to minimize the effects of Russian air strikes. 25 companies and 400 workers are involved in the production. Thanks to their comparatively low costs, which are around 50% cheaper than the French manual Haubitzen Caesar, the Bohdana also has international interest. Countries such as Egypt and Morocco have already been signaled in a purchase, such as [MDR] (https://www.mdr.de/nachrichten/welt/osteuropa/politik/ukraine-waffen-waffen-ruestung industrie-100.html) reported.

Another remarkable project is the drone Beeklo, which has a range of 700 kilometers and has already been tested in the fight. Selenskyj plans the production of one million such drones in the course of this year. These unmanned aircraft are of particular importance at night, while the Ukrainian military leadership also focuses on the use of artificial intelligence. The Griselda information system can identify up to 25,000 destinations per month and inform the troops accordingly.

European defense strategy

In an international context, it becomes clear that Europe has to play a role in the support of Ukraine in order to effectively avert the aggressiveness of Russia. According to an analysis of Bruegel, Europe could need 300,000 additional soldiers at short notice and an annual increase in defense spending by at least 250 billion euros was necessary. Ukraine is seen as the most effective deterrent against Russian attacks, as the Federal Center for Political Education emphasizes in its report: [bpb] (https://www.bpb.de/themen/europa/ukraine-analysen/nr-312/560849/documentation industrial industry.

In order to catch up with military deficit to Russia, Europe has to significantly expand its capacities. This includes the provision of at least 1,400 tanks and 2,000 infantry fighting vehicles. At the same time, the urgency of a long -term European armaments strategy is emphasized that aims at speed, cost efficiency and technological superiority. The support of Ukraine is viewed as an investment in the future security of the continent.
