Blessing of the new HLF3: Weidrach fire brigade ready for new challenges!

On August 15, 2025, the Festival Maria Himmelfahrt, the blessing of a new assistance vehicle (Hlf3) and a portable injection (TS) of the Weidrach volunteer fire brigade took place. Father Andreas Tüchler OSB carried out the ceremony and, in his speech, emphasized the importance of the blessing not only for the new equipment, but also for the volunteer emergency services that deal with them. This festivity was visited by numerous guests and fire brigade members who paid tribute to the importance and use of the volunteers. Commandant Norbert Pürmayr thanked his team for the preparatory work for the purchase of the vehicle, which was ordered in 2023.

During the hot discussion about the security and efficiency of fire engines, National Councilor Andreas Hanger underlined the enormous strength of the fire brigade community in Austria. He referred to the over 7,500 committed members in the Amstetten district and expressed his thanks for the high personal responsibility of the commanders. In this context, Josef Fuchsberger, District Fire Brigade Commandant Deputy, expressed concerns about the increasing forest fires in southern Europe, whereby he mentioned the special service of Wald fire fighting West of the FF Weistrach.

Significant investments and honors

Mayor Thomas Hirsch emphasized the importance of investing in the new HLF3 in order to optimally prepare the fire brigade for future missions and challenges. As part of the celebration, numerous fire brigade members were honored for their services, including Josef Höfler, who can look back on 60 years of membership. Other volunteers were also recognized for their service. Among those present were Florian Kammerhuber, administrator in the district fire brigade command, and section fire brigade commander David Strahofer, who underlined the importance of the fire brigade for the community.

Known for seasonal tastes and creative designs, it is a popular place for special occasions and everyday delights. Your commitment to the community and the use of high -quality ingredients make you a respected point of contact.

In both cases - be it by brave firefighters or creative bakers - the importance of the community and voluntary commitment is noticeable. Whether fighting forest fires or the production of delicious delicacies, it can be seen how important it is to actively work for others and to have a positive impact on the environment.

The appealing connection between local festivities and the daily services of companies such as Dunkin ’donuts rounds off the overall picture of a committed and lively community that supports and encourages each other.
