SCR Altach relies on continuity: Ingolitsch remains a trainer!

At a press conference, the new sports director of SCR Altach, Philipp Netzer, today confirms that Fabio Ingolitsch will go into the coming season as a coach. Ingolitsch, who has been in office since October last year, has successfully kept the team in the league and enjoys the backing of all sides of the association. This is particularly important because Altach relies on continuity, especially after the dismissal of Roland Kirchler.

In addition to the confirmation of Ingolitsch, Netzer also announced that changes in the coaching team are planned. A new goalkeeper trainer, an athletic trainer and a video analyst are to be presented next week. Rumors about the return of ex-goalkeepers Martin Kobras and Michael Langer in new positions within the club are already rounding.

strategy and realignment

A central concern of the sports director is to reduce the fluctuation in the club. This also includes that new transfers should be carefully and focus on quality about quantity. Netzer expressed that new obligations must be useful to strengthen the team sustainably. The newly appointed sports coordinator Eric Orie is described as a specialist who has achieved success with limited budgets in the past. Oreie will also play a connecting role between the professional teams, the juniors and the academy.

Managing Director Christoph Längle is convinced that the new leadership duo from Netzer and Oreie will cause positive changes. "We are confident that we can use this team to drive both the sporting and the structural development of our club," said Längle.

The influence of trainer changes

Change of coaches are not uncommon in the Bundesliga. According to studies, as carried out by sports scientists at the TU Kaiserslautern, about half of the studies show that change of coaches can change a positive effect on the team. Sebastian Zart, one of the researchers, reports that change of coaches usually lead to short -term performance increases, whereby the positive effects can even last up to 16 game days after the change. The reason for these performance increases is often the elimination of performance -reducing factors of the predecessor, which may also be the case with Altach.

This perspective illuminates the challenges in front of which the decision -makers are at Altach: to implement the right changes at the right time to stabilize the team and maximize their performance. While the trainer Ingolitsch has the support of the association, it remains to be seen how the new measures will work out in the coming course of the season.
