The Sport Austria Finale Powered by Austrian lotteries are just around the corner. From June 18 to 22, 2025, athletes will meet in Innsbruck to take part in this important event. This is the second edition of the finals that is organized after a successful premiere. “We want to encourage young people to become active and to do sports," explains Niessl. This initiative is supported by various measures, including the demand for a comeback package for sport after budget consolidation.

insight into the event

The Austrian lotteries are long -time partners of the finals and support the visibility of young talents and alternative sports. General Director Erwin van Lambaart emphasizes that the finals help to put these talents in the spotlight. New this year are the sports flag football and kite flying that expand the offer and bring a breath of fresh air to the event.

Promotion of young sports

The promotion of young and talent and top sports plays a central role in Austria. Projects such as swimming training, in which almost 40% of primary school children achieve the German youth swimming badge in bronze, as well as teaching training as a sports administrator via Ibis Acam, show the use of the country for the development of future talents. These initiatives are implemented in cooperation with associations, trainers and sports schools.

The Skigymnasium Stams and the successful school sports model SSM in Salzburg complement the offer to offer young athletes both well -founded training and the opportunity for sporting development. Another valuable initiative is the soccer school Ante Gale in Vienna, which specifically addresses the individual needs of young football players and prepares them at world-class level. Added to this is the Vienna Ball Sports Gymnasium, which specializes in training in sports such as football, American football, basketball and volleyball.

The Sport Austria Finals not only offer a platform for established athlete: inside, but also for the young talents of tomorrow, which are supported by targeted support programs. This becomes an important catalyst for sports development in Austria.
