Recall alarm: Dangerous glass cans discovered at Hofer!
Recall alarm: Dangerous glass cans discovered at Hofer!
On February 17, 2025, the Hofer KG, in collaboration with its supplier ASCE - Aldi Süd Group Supply Chain Entity GmbH, initiated a recall for two products: the "Crofton glass storage doses with ironing lock with wooden lid" and the "crofton glass storage can with a ironing cap". This drastic decision was made, since when opening and closing the ironing closures there is a risk of glass pockets that could both contain the content and cause injuries, as the Hofer KG announced. An immediate sales stop was imposed in all branches in Austria, where the products were available since October 10, 2024. Affected customers can return the items in any Hofer business and receive the purchase price back even without submitting a document. This was decided to ensure the security of consumers, regardless of whether the risk runs from the manufacturer or distributor. A hotline was set up for further information, which can be reached under +43 5 70 30 355 00 (Mon-Fri 07: 30-19: 00 / Sa 07:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) href = "https://www.ots.at/presseaus-sung/ots_20250217_ots0119/produkruf-crofton-glaSton-glass storage doses-muegel closure"> OTS reported.
