At the Alpine Paraski World Cup races in Santa Caterina and Steinach am Brenner, the Austrian team experienced an impressive appearance in various competitions. As part of two World Cup runs within just 90 minutes, the undisputed paraski elite triumphed. The nephew of the Swiss ski star Didier Cuche, Robin Cuche, secured both victories in the standing class. Markus Salcher, the Austrian ski ass and Carinthian, took second and third place in the two runs. Salcher, who has been paralyzed on half -sides since the birth, commented very positively after the race: "I always knew what I have. It is important to continue working and to emerge exactly these weaknesses," said the athlete, who returned in top shape after a moderate start of the season.

Additional triumph in the Super-G

At the same time, Johannes Aigner, together with his guide Nico Haberl, dominated the visually impaired gentlemen and celebrated another remarkable victory in the Super-G. The Aigner family also performed strongly in the women's race: Veronika Aigner was able to secure first place with her guide Elisabeth Aigner. She brought her impressive performance 3.19 seconds in front of the Italian Chiara Mazzel. With the victory in Steinach, Aigner underlined that the preparations and analyzes of the previous races were decisive for success. "It was almost a perfect race today," said Aigner, adding that they have already prepared for the next challenges.

In the class of the standing men, Thomas Grochar, also from Austria, demonstrated his strength and secured an excellent place with his fourth World Cup victory. The Swiss Robin Cuche followed in second place behind him and Tyrolean Manuel Rachbauer was happy about his third place. Rachbauer emphasized how important summer training was for his success: "I am mega happy with my run, it worked out about everything," he said.
