Austria's ski jumpers get silver at the World Cup - a great success!
The Austrian ski jumpers at the Nordic Ski World Cup in Trondheim impressively won the silver medal in the team competition on Saturday. Lisa Eder, Julia Mühlbacher, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger and Eva Pinkelnig demonstrated their skills on the normal hill and secured second place. As Laola1 reported Norway, the hosts, led with a superior jump and secured the golden place with an impressive lead of 19.4 points.
However, the fight for the podium was exciting until half -time when Austria was only 8.9 points behind the leading Norway. The German team ultimately took third place, but continuously lost the connection to the Austrians. As reported by Vorarlberg.orf.at, Seifriedsberger brought the team close to Norway again with their jump, but Pinkelnig could no longer endanger the Norwegians in the final jump, which secured second place for Austria. The upcoming competitions promise to become as exciting!
