An impressive weekend for the athletes from the Rohrbach district: The traditional Wolfgangsee run attracted numerous participants and brought outstanding success to the local group. In ideal autumn weather, the athletes took the opportunity to put their skills to the test and inspire the audience with strong performances.

The distances the participants covered stretched from St. Wolfgang to the shores of the turquoise blue lake. The competition was particularly exciting over the 5.2 kilometers; Here Stefan Springer from Union Rohrbach-Berg secured second place. Lukas Reiter, also from the district, followed closely behind in 12th place. In the women's category, Karina Kalchmair won in the 30 age group and thus sent a strong signal for the region.

Record for Kerstin Springer

The ten kilometer long route will also remain in the memory, especially because of Kerstin Springer's remarkable performance. She impressed not only with her talent, but also with a new record - she improved the previous course record of 19 years by three seconds and thus secured first place. Almost at the same time on the podium was Bernadette Schuster, who achieved third place as the record winner. Florian Böhm from Union Rohrbach-Berg was not discouraged with fourth place and also showed a strong performance.

Another highlight was the 27 kilometer run, which took place for the 52nd time. Here Florian Gruber emerged as the best Rohrbach runner and ended up in 19th place. Just a minute later, experienced runner Bernhard Mandl followed, taking second place in his age group. An amateur from the region also did well in the marathon: Michael Neundlinger completed his discipline with third place in his age group.

Team ranking and achievements

In the men's team competition, the athletes faced a special challenge as their total time was added up from the distances of 5.2 kilometers, ten kilometers and 27 kilometers. Stefan Springer, Florian Böhm and Florian Gruber combined their strengths and took third place. There was pure excitement in the mixed competition! Kerstin Springer, Lukas Reiter and Bernhard Mandl were only beaten by 0.4 seconds and took second place. In the women's team ranking, the “Honeder Naturbackstube Dreamteam” athletes, led by Bernadette Schuster, were unbeatable.

Strong and consistent over the various distances, the athletes from Rohrbach showed that they not only shine as individuals, but can also achieve excellent results in teams.
