Large exercise of the fire brigade: fire in Irndorf controlled and learned
There was currently an exciting evening in Irndorf when seventeen fire brigades from the districts of Kirchdorf an der Krems, Wels-Land, Wels and Steyr country were alerted to fight a simulated full fire in a production hall of the Easybox company. However, this assignment was not real, but part of a well -considered large exercise that aimed to prepare the emergency services for emergencies.
As part of this exercise, the fire brigade had to promote a total of 7000 liters of water. In addition, nine feeder lines and an intensive tank trolley pendulum were used to achieve the exercise goal. This logistical masterpiece was necessary to ensure that the hypothetical flames were kept in chess and to protect adjacent buildings.
Numerous units in use
The respiratory protection team received special tasks within the exercise process. These included skill and arithmetic exercises that had to be completed in the heavily smoky inside of the building. In order to enrich the exercise, not only many pumps and tank vehicles were on site, but also two telescopic mast stages of the fire brigades Sattledt and Kremsmünster. The respiratory protection vehicle of the Kirchdorf fire brigade and a drone group from the Kirchdorf district were also in action.
In addition, support from the operational support (EFU) and the large tank fire engine of the Wels fire brigade was provided. The police were also integrated into the exercise to coordinate the processes and ensure the security aspect.
After an intensive practice of practice, the emergency services in the production hall were provided for their commitment and their operational readiness. Such exercises are essential for preparing for real missions, since they not only give the firefighters the opportunity to test their skills, but also to strengthen the cooperation between the different units.
