Magical Advent mile in Seebenstein: sparkle of lights and tradition
The second weekend of Advent is just around the corner in Seebenstein, and the anticipation for the traditional Advent mile is great. On November 30th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on December 1st from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., visitors can expect a contemplative festival full of lights, culinary delights and a variety of crafts in the festively decorated park. The Seebenstein Tourism and Village Renewal Association has reopened its doors to bring guests closer to the most wonderful time of the year.
The tour through the park is accompanied by atmospheric candlelight and torchlight. Visitors can enjoy the magical atmosphere as brass bands play gentle melodies from a distance. This creates the right mood to get in the mood for the winter festivities.
Culinary delicacies and tradition
The Advent Mile also offers a large selection of food and drinks. From Christmas bakeries to hearty game dishes and raclette bread – the culinary delights are diverse. The nativity scene exhibition, which shows both oriental and alpine styles and is spread across the entire market area, deserves special attention. A highlight is the life-size floating nativity scene in the pond, which is a popular photo motif for souvenir photos.
In addition, traditional craftsmanship is given priority. Professionals demonstrate their skills, and guests have the opportunity to learn about the art of blacksmithing, smoking, and basket weaving. This gives the Advent market not only culinary but also cultural depth.
A special program highlight will be presented by Arabella Kiesbauer, who will read Christmas stories on a lovingly decorated stage on Saturday. After dark, an atmospheric torch dance will be performed on the pond island, which is sure to cause enthusiasm. Even the little visitors don't miss out; behind the pond, child-friendly horses are looking forward to traveling with you through the park.
Environmentally friendly arrival
