Christian Trettler, the new mayor of Verland, has been in office for seven months and has already mastered some challenges during this time. "We have to find innovative approaches to protect the environment without endangering economic progress," he says.

The last seven months have also shown how important flexibility is in politics. The mayor has mastered some unexpected hurdles that were created by the current economic situation. "Crisis management is one of my daily tasks, but I am confident that we can master this together," he explains.

Trettler is planning further initiatives for the next few months to give the citizens a voice and to integrate them into decision -making processes. "I want us to grow together as a community, and this is only possible if everyone can make their contribution," he adds.
