protection and consideration in the nature park

One of the central aspects of the campaign is to promote responsible dog behavior. In particular, compliance with the leash is of great importance. These rules should protect the region's flora and fauna and promote harmonious coexistence between humans and animals.

The Dobratsch Nature Park, which extends in southern Carinthia, is known for its breathtaking mountain landscape, which is shaped by the largest landslide landscape in the Eastern Alps, the Schütt. These special geological conditions have produced a variety of habitats that represent one of the most species-rich regions in Europe.

biodiversity and protective measures

In the nature park, over 1,400 species of butterfly have been detected, as well as numerous animals such as brown bears and various heat -loving species, including emerald lizards, scorpions and sand vipers. Particularly noteworthy is the European hornotter, which can be recognized with a characteristic horn on her snout and eats by Kleinsäugern. http://www.naturparkke/naturparke/kaernten/naturpark-dobratsch/

Another highlight of the flora of the park is the Illyrian gladiolus that only occurs in southern Carinthia. This strictly protected plant blooms between the end of May and mid-June with its striking dark pink to purple flowers and reaches growth heights from 25 to 50 cm. In summary, it can be said that the competition "With the Wuffi in the Nature Park" not only emphasizes the advantages and beauty of the nature parks, but also creates an important awareness of the protection of these unique ecosystems.
