The world of turtles focus on

Last Saturday, the Hollabrunn Agricultural School (LFS) opened its doors for the second turtle day, to which over 100 students, graduates and guests appeared. This day offered a special opportunity to learn more about the fascinating world of turtles that have been living on our planet for more than 250 million years. The International Turtle Association (ISV), which gave exciting insights into the lifestyle and nursing techniques of these primeval animals under the direction of President Gerhard Schafer, was responsible for the event.

The ISV not only presented different types of turtles, but also shared its extensive knowledge of the species -appropriate attitude and care. The information was not only instructive, but also revealing for prospective pet owners and everyone who wanted to learn more about these fascinating reptiles. Visitors had the opportunity to ask questions and talk to the speakers.

Insights into turtle posture

A central concern of the event was to emphasize the importance of the species -appropriate attitude of the turtles. Various posture systems were discussed by the lecturers of the ISV, which are crucial for the well -being of the animals. The listeners learned what requirements turtles place in their surroundings and which errors should be avoided. These practical tips and specialist knowledge ensure that future owners are well informed and can therefore contribute to a species -appropriate life of the animals.

The interactive contributions in which the participants had the opportunity to get in touch with the turtles were particularly popular. This not only promoted understanding of the animals, but also offered a great opportunity to exchange ideas with like -minded people.

It was a nice day for everyone involved who not only conveyed knowledge, but also sparked interest and enthusiasm for turtle husbandry. With such events, the Hollabrunn Agricultural School would also like to contribute to clarifying animal husbandry and the responsible use of these living things.
