AI revolutionizes the heavy industry: Plantos ™ ensures highest production times!

At the Global Steel Dynamics Forum,

Infinite Uptime presented the advanced platform Plantos ™, which was specially developed for the heavy industry. According to OTS , Plantos ™ focuses on value-added and Reliable production through the use of artificial intelligence (AI). This AI-controlled production intelligence enables system availability of 99.97 % and offers additional energy savings of up to 2 % per unit produced.

By combining device -independent sensors, vertical AI and human expertise, Plantos ™ provides measurable results. Infinite Uptime has already digitized, monitored and secured over 84 million tons of steel production. An example of the success of Plantos ™ is the most valuable steel company in the world, JSW, which achieved a total of 25,842 hours of additional production time through the partnership with Infinite Uptime.

functionality of Plantos ™

Plantos ™ offers five central functions to improve production processes: recognizing and capturing, managing and configuring, diagnosing and analyzing, acting and solving, as well as working together and integrating. These highly developed functions enable precise error prognosis accuracy of 99.97 %, which was verified in over 53,000 systems. The system captures data from sensors that work under extreme conditions, such as 150 ° C and 2 revolutions per minute to ensure a comprehensive analysis of the production processes.

The outcome assistant, which forwards specific knowledge to relevant people, such as engineers and CFOs, is also particularly noteworthy. In addition, the platform offers 24/7 remote support to simplify the introduction and use.

result -oriented production security

Another focus of the presentation was the concept of Production Outcomes as a Service (Poaas). This result -oriented model from Infinite Uptime ensures that companies can use performance -based contracts that offer measurable values within 6 to 12 months. The platform has already saved 83,988 hours of production in 801 works, which illustrates the enormous potential of technology.

according to Infinite uptime includes the platform functions such as monitoring critical and auxiliary devices as well as the analysis of energy consumption to reduce waste and increase efficiency. Furthermore, modern maintenance strategies such as the failure modes & effects analysis (FMEA) are used to identify and avoid errors at an early stage.

artificial intelligence in Industry 4.0

The introduction of Plantos ™ into the heavy industry is in the context of digitization, which is known as Industry 4.0. This development describes a progressive networking of machines and processes, which results in a generation of huge amounts of data. According to Fraunhofer , the use of AI can be generated from this data valuable information that significantly improve production and service. However, there are currently still technology arrangements that limit the full potential of AI in Industry 4.0.

A central concern remains the forward -looking maintenance (predictive maintenance), which can be optimized by AI. Despite the progress made with systems such as Plantos ™, it is crucial to address the challenges of data integration and the inflexible AI applications in order to further promote digitization in Industry 4.0.
