Deichmann is moving: new location brings a breath of fresh air to Klagenfurt
The well-known shoe store Deichmann in Klagenfurt is moving. However, the move isn't far, as the branch just moves to the other side of the street. This means that accessibility remains convenient for customers who have already shopped in Mantschehofgasse or St. Veiter Ring.
Previously, Deichmann had branches at Mantschehofgasse 2, St. Veiter Ring 20 and Völkermarkter Straße 150. The branch on Völkermarkter Straße is now being reopened on the Kika site and takes the place of the former “MyShoes” branch. The new address will officially go into operation on October 31st.
Seamless transition into autumn
Deichmann focuses on the latest autumn trends in the new branch. In previous seasons, Chelsea and chunky boots were particularly popular, but this time the Rebel boots dominate the range. These boots represent style and comfort without taking the place of the popular sneakers. The Deichmann collection also offers a wide range of shoes online for fashion-conscious buyers.
The large company behind Deichmann is active worldwide, with around 4,700 branches and 49,000 employees. In Austria there are 1,350 employees. To get a feel for the scale, Deichmann sells around 184 million pairs of shoes every year and achieved sales of 8.7 billion euros in 2023. The move to relocate the branch shows the company's commitment to further develop and meet the needs of customers.
It is noteworthy that this move is not the only change in the Klagenfurt shoe market. The Slovenian shoe chain “Mass Shoes” will close its branch in the City Arkaden in mid-November. The market change in the region is therefore in full swing and is being followed closely by both customers and other retailers.
