Villach Carnival Guild celebrates international friendship meeting
The Villach Carnival Guild organized an extraordinary friendship meeting last weekend that captivated participants from various cities in Germany. The city guard Oecher Penn from Aachen, the Kölner Funken Artillerie blau weiss von 1870 e.V. and the Große Carnivalgesellschaft Feuerio 1898 Mannheim e.V. were invited to get to know the magnificent Carinthia region.
From October 11th to 13th, 2024, the guests experienced an unforgettable weekend characterized by warm hospitality and happy togetherness. This annual tradition is intended to promote exchange and camaraderie between carnival societies.
A great welcome and cultural exchange
Friday evening marked the start of this festive event, starting with a cozy welcome drink on the Drau terrace of the Voco Hotel. The participants had the opportunity to explore the picturesque city center of Villach and be amazed by the view of the relief of Carinthia. Afterwards, a traditional Carinthian snack was served in the Villach brewery, which not only pleased the palate but also reflected the atmosphere of the gathering.
Saturday was filled with exploration. After breakfast together, the participants went to Minimundus, where they were able to quickly see the most important landmarks in the world. This was an exciting experience that amazed many. A highlight of the day was the boat trip across Lake Wörthersee to Velden, which was specifically dedicated to friendships and socializing.
Deepen friendships and celebrate
The evening in the clubhouse of the Villach Carnival Guild was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to celebrate together and deepen the newly formed friendships. "A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this friendship meeting! We are already looking forward to the next meeting and to continuing to cultivate and celebrate our friendships," said the carnival guild from Villach gratefully.
