Erich Glantschnig: Deserved honor in Mallnitz at the Festschrift presentation
A solemn event recently brought the Mallnitz parish together to celebrate the anniversary of the church day. As part of the fair, Erich Glantschnig was honored with the St. Modestus badge in silver. He was honored for his services to the parish and for his comprehensive commemorative publication “From the History of the Mallnitz Parish,” which was presented on Friday.
The event enjoyed a lively atmosphere, highlighted by various musical performances. After the morning pint concert by the Mallnitz traditional costume group, the “Ankogler” performed, followed by a rousing performance by the trio M. o. S (Music without Electricity) in the Tauern Hall. During the celebrations, visitors could look forward to culinary delicacies offered by numerous Mallnitz clubs. The Mallnitz Music Association, the Mallnitztal traditional costume group and the mountain rescue service made a significant contribution to the gastronomy at the event.
Diverse supporting program
The church convention in Mallnitz not only offers a platform for honors, but also an opportunity for socializing and strengthening the community. The extensive supporting program included both cultural and culinary highlights, which enabled guests to experience the region's traditions and make new acquaintances.
The church day celebrations are therefore more than just a social event; they are an important part of the local identity and testify to the solidarity of the community. This tradition will continue in the future to keep the parish's cultural heritage alive for future generations.
