A criminal duo is causing a stir in Carinthia! In a supermarket in Möllbrücke, a woman left her smartphone unattended, only to find that it had been stolen shortly afterwards. But the thieves hadn't counted on her ingenuity: they used the cell phone's tracking function to track down the device in another supermarket in Sachsenburg. The police were alerted and arrested the perpetrator, who was now known for various thefts. He admitted that he needed money for food and medicine. The investigation revealed that the suspect had already struck several times: on December 9th he had stolen a piggy bank from a shopping center in Spittal/Drau, and on December 17th he tried to steal more piggy banks from a doctor's office. He is also charged with stealing an e-bike between December 6th and 7th. The public prosecutor's office ordered a complaint against him while he was at large, but he remained in custody for immigration reasons.
