Noise and action: Military exercise with helicopters started in Carinthia!

Klagenfurt, Österreich - On June 24, 2025, the new deployment training of the Airland hunter battalion 25 started. This exercise, which is carried out in cooperation with the Villacher Pionier Battalion 1, takes a total of three weeks and takes place in several Carinthian districts. The intensive training measures include increased helicopter flights that serve to prepare for national and international operations.

The training content includes the training of soldiers, weapons and equipment, parachuting jumps and rapid in and out under realistic conditions. These exercises are particularly focused on the urban space and on the procedure for air landing. The exercises should also strengthen cooperation with special units, such as the hunting command. The practice room extends over important areas of Middle and Upper Carinthia, especially around the Khevenhüller barracks in Klagenfurt and the Glainach military training area. The helicopters are stationed in Klagenfurt during the entire exercise. The daily exercise time is from around 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., supported by night flights, which take place from June 24th to June 26th to June 3, 2025.

up to 80 soldiers and ten military vehicles will be involved in the exercise.
