Big appearance: Golden Note 2025 - Finale of the Young Talents!
Wien, Österreich - On May 27, 2025, the focus is on classical music when the "Golden Note 2025" reaches its peak. This classical music promotion award, known for the promotion of young talents, will present the semi-finals on May 29 at 5:55 p.m. in ORF 2 and on ORF on. The highlights of the audition, which took place on April 12th in Vienna, are transferred.
Overall, nine promising young musicians have made it into the next round, who were selected by an experienced jury of experts from 15 applicants. These nine finalists are divided into three categories: string instruments, wind instruments as well as key and plucking instruments.
The finalists and their categories
The jurors are made up of renowned musicians, including Nareh arghamanyan, Arno Steinwider and Kristina Šuclar, to name just a few. The following talents compete in the string instruments category:
- Eloisa Marie Aubert (10 years, violin, Luxembourg)
- Dylan Russell (13 years, cello, Vienna)
- Lois Pfeifer (18 years, violin, Klagenfurt/Carinthia)
The following finalists are represented in the wind instruments category:
- Alicia Bleuse (12 years, flute, Palma/Mallorca)
- Annalena Klem (16 years, bassoon, Ried in the Riedmark)
- Julius Constantin Schantl (18 years, Horn, Vienna)
The category of key and plucking instruments is represented by these talented musicians:
- Aryana Devine (10 years, harp, Vienna)
- Ester Ferrario (15 years, piano, Bozen/South Tyrol)
- David Kropfreiter (16 years, piano, Vienna)
prices and audience award
The event is not only a competition, but also an opportunity for all participants to gain valuable experience. All finalists receive IMF master classes on the MUK and are allowed to take part in "Stars & Talents". In addition, the category winners are awarded special prices, such as concert appearances at renowned festivals.
The audience award, which is awarded by an online voting, is also very popular. The voting was possible since April 28, 2025 and ended on May 18th.
The final show takes place on June 6th in ORF 2 and on ORF ON, with another broadcast on June 14, 2025 in 3sat. The event is celebrating the ninth allocation of the classical music promotion award and offers a platform for young artists who represent emerging talents of classical music.
For the young music scene, the "golden note" is an important part of establishing itself in the industry. The highlight of the event will be the opportunity to learn in addition to the renowned jury of greats such as Ildikó Raimondi and Aleksey Igudesman.
