BORG Dreierschützengasse, 8020 Graz, Österreich - On June 11, 2025, a traumatic killing spree on Borg Dreierschützengasse in Graz, which shook all of Austria, occurred. A total of 11 people were killed in this incident, while 10 deaths were originally confirmed. The Graz state government and the security forces are under high pressure to cope with the situation, and numerous injuries are currently being treated.

The medical care of the injured is carried out by the Kages. According to information, all patients are stable, with four of them in the intensive care unit. Two patients have already been moved to the normal ward, while a person at the West, Graz II location remains in the intensive care unit. The incident

The perpetrator, a 26-year-old Austrian citizen, used his vehicle as a weapon and began his amocran in Zweiglgasse, where he immediately killed one person and injured several. The journey continued via the Augarten bridge to Schönaugasse and to the Jakominiplatz, where he targeted the garden of a café. The police were finally able to arrest the perpetrator in Schmiedgasse. Over 30 people were injured, including ten, while a person is in a critical condition. With a view to the crisis situation, a crisis phone for relatives and witnesses was set up under number 14844. A crisis intervention team was also formed in Graz to support both those affected and their families.

As a result of the killing spree, the Borg Dreienschützengasse remains closed for the rest of the week. The lessons will be resumed on Monday, June 16. Pupils who have not processed the terrible events are automatically excused. The high school graduates have the opportunity to decide whether they want to take advantage of replacement dates before summer or autumn. In the first school days, the focus is on trauma and crisis management, supported by teams from school psychologists and crisis intervention.

For affected students and their families, individual advice and support offers are available. An information center for relatives was set up in the ASKÖ-Halle, Schlossstraße 20, 8020 Graz. There is also a telephone hotline of the Styria Education Directorate at 0664 80 345 55 665.

From Wednesday, June 11th, a meeting room in Helmut List Halle will open to offer victims and those affected the opportunity to process the shocking events. For additional support, national contact points such as the school psychology hotline and various help telephones are available, as communicated by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research on BMB.GV.at.
