Dolomitenhof in Tristach: 10 years of enjoyment and tradition celebrate!

On April 26, 2025, the Dolomitenhof celebrates its tenth anniversary in Tristach and looks back on a long history that extends until 1528. Under the leadership of the Winkler family of hoteliers, which leads the company in the third generation, the Dolomitenhof has developed dynamically in recent years. Romana and Thomas Winkler emphasize the value of regional ingredients and the importance of nature that plays a central role in the hotel's kitchen.

A number of events are planned as part of the anniversary. On May 4, 2025, a "birthday brunch" with an East Tyrolean breakfast buffet will take place, accompanied by a flying brunch and live music from the band Saxolution. In addition, a golf tournament on May 17th and a Radio Osttirol Live morning pint on June 22nd and barbecues with live music from May 22nd are planned.

Fusion and new developments

A significant step in the recent history of the Dolomitenhof is the merger with the Moarhof in 2022, which led to the umbrella brand "Winklers East Tyrol". In the winter of 2023, the “Pepos am Berg” restaurant on the Zettersfeld was also integrated into the family business. Kitchen chief Robert Lang will support the new team of the Dolomitenhof and revise the menu in order to increasingly offer regional and seasonal specialties.

In the renovations and conversions carried out annually since 2015, it has been explicitly emphasized for contemporary comfort. The accommodations offered include family suites and natural suites with a sauna and a breathtaking view of the Dolomites from the sun terrace.

The importance of tourism in Austria

The Dolomitenhof is not only a local highlight, but is also in the context of an impressive history of tourism in Austria. As early as 1884, the first delegate conference to promote tourism in the Austrian Alpine countries took place. In the following decades, significant steps were taken to increase the proportion of tourism in the Austrian economy, including the establishment of "Austrian Verkehrswerbung GmbH" in 1923.

In recent years, efforts to promote tourism have continued to grow. The new orientation of the Dolomitenhof reflects the constant development of the tourist infrastructure in Austria and shows the commitment of the Winkler family to make their contribution to a sustainable tourist future.

For the guests there is a variety of ways to enjoy the beauties of nature and regional cuisine, and the Dolomitenhof is an example of excellent service and the development of the hospitality in the region.
