Celebratory anniversary: The Christmas house in Bad Tatzmannsdorf shines!
It's Christmassy in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, where the famous Christmas house is celebrating its 15th anniversary with spectacular light effects. From November 23, 2024 to January 6, 2025, numerous well-known figures will populate the festively decorated rooms, including impressive light installations and inflatable figures.
Keyword “family”: Under the motto “OHANA” – a term from the Hawaiian language that means “family” and is closely linked to the Disney character Stitch – a place of togetherness is created. “Everyone is welcome” – emphasize the organizers Sabine and Gerald Gollnhuber and explain that the Christmas house is a welcoming space for people of all backgrounds and with a wide variety of needs.
Figures and stars in Advent
Visitors can look forward to more than 900,000 lights and over 200 different inflatable figures that are up to 9 meters high. These are presented on a spacious area of 5,000 square meters. The favorites on offer also include the Christmas mice Mickey and Minnie, who always create a great atmosphere during “Special Days”. Mister Grinch, Spongebob and Winnie the Pooh are also among the stars who will delight children on different days.
The opening of the Christmas spectacle will take place on November 23rd and will feature well-known characters from the Disney world. Almost every day offers a great experience for the whole family. Well-known artists will also be on stage, such as the three-time Native American Music Award winner “Wolfsheart” and Eurovision participant Anita Wagner.
A special highlight of this year's Christmas house is the support from the “Family Leisure Park Märchenwald Steiermark”. They present a festively decorated garden area and organize a competition with attractive prizes.
Charitable intention and commitment
In addition to the visual spectacle, the project also has a social purpose: collections have been collected for charity in the Christmas house for years. Admission is free, but visitors are encouraged to donate to social organizations. “We want to help and leave nothing behind,” say Sabine and Gerald Gollnhuber, who always strive to give the entire net result to those in need.
The fireworks highlights and the warm atmosphere make Bad Tatzmannsdorf a popular destination for many who want to celebrate the pre-Christmas season in style. The mix of festive spirit and commitment to social issues makes this event not only a feast for the eyes, but also an act of solidarity in the community. It is a lively place that also shines in our regional life the Christmas house in Bad Tatzmannsdorf.
