The author Jennifer Böhm presents her second children's book, which, after her Advent calendar book "There are also Christmas miracles in life", will now make the hearts of little readers beat faster. This new story is about the brave girl Priya, who secretly meets an orphaned white tiger cub in the jungles of India. Contrary to her parents' prohibition, she decides to take the little animal home and raise it. Your adventures with the little tiger Shiva promise exciting experiences.
Böhm came up with the idea for this story during a visit to the White Zoo in Kernhof, where she was inspired by the white tigers. On the return journey she thought about the plot, which she then wrote down at home. “It was a challenge to find the right words for children, but I had a lot of fun doing it,” says the author about the creative process.
The role of illustrations
What is particularly worth mentioning is that Böhm not only wrote the story, but also created the illustrations himself. Using artificial intelligence, she designed both the cover and the interior images of the book. “It was an interesting experience that I had never had before,” she explains.
The story is intended to make it clear to young readers that adventure often awaits in unexpected places. Böhm emphasizes the importance of courage and strength in everyday life: “If you want to achieve something, no obstacle is too high.” Her book is aimed primarily at children of preschool and primary school age, but adults can also enjoy reading.
The next important date for the author is the Mariahilfberg book fair on November 9th. Not only will she be selling her books and giving a reading there, but her debut novel “Like a Lion in the Storm” has also been nominated for the “Bücher(t)räume Award”, in which the best book will be chosen via online voting.
In addition, Böhm announced that he is working on a new novel entitled “Project Sperm Donation”, the rough draft of which is already being tested. She is also currently writing a romance novel set on the enchanting Canary Island of Lanzarote. The author has an exciting year ahead of her and we can look forward to the results of her creative work.
