A tragic case shakes the federal capital of Vienna: a 21-year-old woman and her 25-year-old partner were arrested after a newborn baby was discovered in a trash in a hotel. The couple had traveled from Burgenland, supposedly for a vacation in the metropolis. What initially seemed like a harmless journey quickly took a cruel turn. According to reports from Today the young mother brought the child to the world, presumably suffocated the small body in the waste.
The dramatic events started when the woman was brought to a nearby hospital in the Landstrasse district with heavy bleeding. There the doctors realized that she had released them shortly before. Although the mother vehemently denied this, the hospital employees informed the police to look for the newborn.
